What is your topic? What's the point you want to get across? How are you going to accomplish this?
What sounds are you going to introduce ?
Note: we will be downloading sound effects from youtube and we will be adding them to Audacity.

Tuesday - August 31, 2021
Objectives:
Objective:
Students will familiarize themselves with their equipment, including their recording device. For those of you that are in class; use Audacity. Grab a computer (ask your computer monitor to distribute the computers).
For those of you doing independent study:
What you need: What students need: One phone or voice recorder, one pair of headphones, one computer / per small group. Notebooks and writing utensils. *Before starting, we recommend identifying a) a voice recorder and b) a computer or laptop for each small group. Most smartphones, including iPhones, have built-in voice recorders which can be used for recording narration and interviews for podcasts. _____________________________________________________________________
Part 1: Recording,
In groups of 3–5, have students practice recording themselves and each other.
Directions for students:
- Keep working in a group and come up with a script
- If you need help coming up with a script please look at Mondays lesson here on weebly.
- For those of you that are ready please do the following lesson:

Part 1: Recording,

Directions for students:
- Record your own voice a. Say your name, grade, and age into the microphone, and then listen back to the recording on the phone or recording device. b. This is called “ID-ing” or identifying yourself on the recording.
- Record another person’s voice a. Come up with one interview question for a group member. Make sure you record YOUR question and the other person’s answer. Then, listen back on the phone or recording device.
- Record a conversation between two people a. One group member should come up with two interview questions for another. While one person interviews the other, a third group member should record them. Then listen back. Take turns so that each person has a chance to record using the phone or recording device.
- Record sounds from around the classroom a. Each group member should record TWO sounds that last approximately 10 seconds from around the classroom. As a group, listen back to the recordings on the phone or recording device.
Thursday - September 2, 2021Objective:
Students will either be ready with their script or will still be working on their script. If you are finished with your script, please do the lesson plan state on Tuesday. If you are finished with that lesson- start recording. Lesson if you are finished with your script. Note:

Friday - September 3, 2021
REMEMBER THAT ALL YOUR COMPUTERS ARE ASSIGNED. PLEASE LOOK AT THE WALL NEXT TO THE COMPUTER STATION AND LOOK FOR YOUR NUMBER INCASE YOU FORGOT IT.

To have fun playing/constructing their script and Audacity.
Students will. learn the fundamentals of working together under pressure.
ALL STUDENTS WILL EITHER BE READY TO DO THE PODCASTING OR THEY WILL STILL NEED TO COMPLETE A SCRIPT
FOR THOSE STUDENTS THAT STILL ARE WORKING ON THEIR SCRIPTS, PLEASE ASK FOR HELP TO WRAP THINGS UP
ALL STUDENTS THAT ARE READY TO PLAY WITH AUDACITY PLEASE DO SO..
